Sunila Gollapudi is a self-taught visual artist whose work is a profound confluence of tradition, storytelling, and spiritual expression. For her, painting is more than just an artistic pursuit—it is a form of energy, devotion, and self-expression, capturing the intangible essence of myths, heritage, and divinity.

Her artistic journey spans a multitude of mediums, from pencil, pen, charcoal, dry pastels, glass paints, watercolors, and acrylics, to her latest passion—digital art. She has immersed herself in Kerala Mural, Patachitra, and Tanjore styles, deeply inspired by their ability to narrate stories through intricate details, vibrant colors, and sacred symbolism.

Recently, Sunila has been drawn into the depths of Shilpashastra, exploring the history, philosophy, and artistic intricacies of temple architecture, sculptures, and deities. This fascination has manifested in her latest body of work, “Strokes of Divinity”—a series of paintings that bridge the ancient and the contemporary, the material and the ethereal.

Beyond her art, Sunila is also the founder of Havishhaa, a non-profit initiative for visual arts where she sells her paintings to support girl child empowerment and the preservation of traditional arts. Her work is not just about capturing beauty—it is about ensuring that art remains a force for cultural continuity, education, and social change.

Through her ever-evolving artistic exploration, Sunila continues to breathe life into sacred narratives, ensuring that each brushstroke, digital rendering, and composition carries forward the timeless essence of India's rich artistic legacy.
